Assessment

Assessment

To complete this course, students must pass the IOSH Working Safely Exam and Hazard Spotting Exercise.

The IOSH Working Safely Exam demonstrates the student’s understanding of the information contained within the course. The exam is taken online, so there is no need to attend a training centre. The exam consists of multiple choice questions and must be completed within 30 minutes. Students will need to achieve at least 20 points from a possible 33 to pass the exam. 

Hazard Spotting Exercise

The IOSH Working Safely Hazard Spotting Exercise demonstrates the student’s ability to spot hazards. The exercise is conducted online. Students need to achieve at least 11 points from a possible 16 points to pass the hazard spotting exercise

Certification

On Successful completion you will be awarded IOSH Working Safely Certificate.

Prerequisites

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Although we do ask that you can understand, spoken and written English well enough to pass the course, we want you to get the best out of your training

Reasonable Adjustments

Learners are required to complete the assessments in a manner appropriate to the purpose of the qualification. The prescribed assessment methods for this qualification should not unfairly disadvantage learners who would otherwise be able to demonstrate competence in line with the purpose of the qualification. Learners should contact their centre to discuss reasonable adjustment if they feel the prescribed assessment methods would disadvantage them.
